Welcome to Pencil Posters! This blog offers a glimpse into my journey of blending art and storytelling through pencil drawn illustrations. What began as a creative outlet has grown into a meaningful project that resonates with many.
It all started with a simple idea: turn real-life quotations, stories, and philosophies into artistic expressions.
Using pencil art, I and my cousin aimed to capture the essence of these thoughts in a visually captivating way. Each poster starts with a quote or story that inspires me. The first step is to deeply connect with the lines, feeling the essence and emotion behind them.
“How can this message resonate with others?”
As I immerse myself in these words, I focus on ensuring each poster correlates with real-world experiences. The goal is to create a bridge between the words and the viewer’s life, making each piece relatable and impactful. Once the concept is clear, the art begins. Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I bring the ideas to life. Illustrator helps me draw precise lines and frames, while Photoshop is used to refine the artwork.
The pencil is the only element with color, symbolizing the power of words and thoughts. It is always held by the person whose philosophy or story is depicted, emphasizing their connection to the message.
I have been fortunate to receive personal thanks from notable figures such as Ed Latimore, a sports figure; Jyoti Banerjee, an IFS officer in Mumbai; Team Gary Vee, Naval Ravikant, The Minimalists, and many more. Their kind words are a testament to the impact of Pencil Posters. Each piece I create is a testament to the power of combining words and art, and I’m thrilled to share them with you.
This project has taught me the value of persistence and the impact of art on people’s lives. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m excited to continue creating and sharing more stories through Pencil Posters. Thank you for joining me on this journey. Stay tuned for more updates and new artworks. Feel free to connect with me on Twitter PencilPosters for the latest creations.
